What it is
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. It is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which release growth factors, and is then injected into the thinning areas of the scalp.
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is a newer variation, prepared without anticoagulants and at a lower speed. It forms a light fibrin matrix that releases growth factors more gradually. Both come from your own blood, so the risk of an allergic reaction is minimal.
Suitable for
- Early to moderate hair thinning in men and women
- Diffuse thinning or a widening parting
- Supporting healing and growth after a transplant
- Keeping existing hair strong over time
PRP & PRF
How it's done
- 01
Blood sample
A small amount of blood is drawn, much like a routine blood test.
- 02
Preparation
The sample is processed in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets (PRP) or fibrin (PRF).
- 03
Scalp treatment
The scalp is cleaned and the concentrate is injected with fine needles into the thinning areas. Numbing can be used if you prefer.
- 04
Maintenance
After the first course, a maintenance session every 4–6 months helps keep the results.

Aftercare
Every treatment starts with a free consultation. The information here is general — your doctor will tell you what applies to you.
- Avoid washing your hair for the rest of the day
- No hair dye, sauna or intense exercise for 24–48 hours
- Mild tenderness or redness can occur and fades within a day or two
- Avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers for a few days, unless your doctor advises otherwise
Questions
Questions, answered.
Most people describe it as a series of small pinches. We can use numbing cream or cooling to keep it comfortable.
Studies so far show similar results for both. PRF releases growth factors more slowly and may cause slightly less irritation. We choose based on your scalp and goals.
PRP can strengthen thinning hair, but it cannot regrow hair where follicles are gone. In those areas a transplant is the solution, and PRP is a good partner to it.
