What it is

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) moves healthy follicles from the back of the head, where hair is naturally resistant to loss, to the areas that have thinned. Unlike classic FUE, grafts are implanted directly with a fine implanter pen, without opening channels first. That means less handling of each graft, less trauma to the scalp and precise control over direction, angle and depth.

At Care & Hair Fix, implantation is assisted by the Robotic DHI system: sensors count grafts in real time, the implantation angle stays consistent, and grafts are kept at +4 °C until they are placed. For smaller areas we also offer classic, fully manual DHI.

How it's done

  1. 01

    Consultation and design

    We examine your scalp, measure donor density and draw your new hairline together with you. You get a graft estimate and a clear plan.

  2. 02

    Preparation and anaesthesia

    The donor area is trimmed and the scalp is numbed with local anaesthesia. You stay awake and comfortable throughout.

  3. 03

    Extraction

    Follicles are removed one by one from the donor area with micro-punches and kept cool and hydrated.

  4. 04

    Robotic implantation

    Each graft is loaded into a 0.7–0.9 mm implanter and placed directly, following the natural direction of your hair.

Aftercare

Every treatment starts with a free consultation. The information here is general — your doctor will tell you what applies to you.

  • Sleep with your head slightly raised for the first few nights
  • Do not touch, scratch or rub the implanted area
  • Follow the washing routine we give you, usually from day 2 or 3
  • No sport, sauna or swimming for about two weeks
  • Protect your scalp from direct sun for the first weeks
  • Shedding of transplanted hairs in weeks 2–6 is normal; new growth follows

  • Transplanted follicles come from an area that is resistant to hair loss, so they keep growing for life. Your non-transplanted hair can still thin over time, which is why we may recommend PRP to protect it.

  • Yes, when it is planned well. We design the hairline to suit your face and age, and place each graft in the direction your hair naturally grows.

  • Both implant grafts directly without opening channels. The robotic system adds real-time graft counting and consistent angles, which helps in larger sessions. We'll recommend what fits your case.
